Mark Walker is a man of God, husband, and father first, but has been blessed to become an activist, author, and investigator. In these arenas, he always wanted his work to be purposeful. Despite growing up in a low-income, abusive environment, Mark chose a different path by doing things passionately and in excellence. However, he learned quickly that talent and work ethic alone would not be enough to overcome the odds stacked against him. It was this statistical improbability that ignited his intimacy with Jesus and due to Christ’s unmerited favor regardless of Mark’s sins and failures, he made a commitment to assist the Holy Spirit free the enemy’s captives. Accordingly, after serving in different capacities for years, the Holy Spirit led Mark to HeartDance Foundation in 2021. Since then, the Lord has not only used Mark’s security background to lead male volunteers in securing the outreach’s female members, but also to pray over and sometimes inspire male staff and patrons to leave the nightlife. Knowing he, too, could have been lost, Mark’s service to HeartDance went from an offering to God to an ordained calling!
